Creativity in Wichita

Creative Sewing Center is the right name for the Wichita store. The store is full of creative customers seeking the expert help that is so willingly given. I witnessed Connie helping with software support to create one of a kind costumes. And customers are allowed to use the Pfaff sewing and embroidery machines in the store. There will be a delighted Piglet and Batman enjoying themselves at Halloween parties due in part to the store's help.

I was there for our first computer club. A great group of people were there to learn the 4D Embroidery software. A good time was had and everyone left having learned something new. The quilt blocks that were created by our Enid Computer Club members were on display. What a great inspiration to go home and practice all that they learned!

It's a busy place full of excited and happy customers.

10/3/2007

Day one of Grand opening festivities in our New Wichita store:
That was Pfun!
Hellllllllo Wichita!
I love this city. Wonderful people, great sense of humor and downright enjoyable. I am living a charmed life. Working with great people and serving an awesome clientele. This isn't work, this is doing what I love.
And that must not be enough, because we also have this unreal new machine called the Creative Vision. It's like fly paper, if you touch it, you are stuck on it , it's that amazing. How can we get Pfaff to build them faster, the list of people waiting to get a new Pfaff Creative Vision grows faster than Pfaff ships us machines. Well, we know they will get us one when they are built to their standard, and I can live with that.
I sharpened 75 pair of scissors today (If I did't forget to record any pairs). Wichita is sharper ;-). We had a lot of people come to the store today. Not only to sign up for the Pfaff 2027 giveaway, but also to get their scissors sharpened gratis. That was fun! Making people happy is fun.
Louis Carney the famous Pfaff educator came today and brought a trunk show. He is excellent, I recommend to see him if you get a chance. he has a lot to share, from a lot of experience. He also has some very nice samples. Well, it's late and we have a 2nd day of Grand opening festiivities, I better get some rest. Lata,
Stitchman

Connie's Speaking Tour

Hope everyone is having a fabulous Monday. Just wanted to let everyone know that Connie is on a speaking tour making rounds speaking at some of the area quilt guilds. She is speaking tomorrow morning in Seiling and Thursday evening in Fairview. If any of you are members of those guilds, I know Connie would enjoy seeing your smiling faces in the audience.

She has also been invited to speak at the Northwest Oklahoma Square Dance Association meeting on November 3 in Oklahoma City. She will bring tools and tips to make your sewing easier. If you are member attending in OKC, be sure to stop and say hi to Connie.

Please feel free to post your comments on things we can do to make the blog better. I know several of you have asked for a newsletter. I will tell you that we will try very hard to get one out by the end of October. The newsletter is always a LARGE task and before we can get it writtem, printed, stamped, and to you the information is already outdated. I apologize if you feel out of the loop. We will try to do better in the future. I would hope we can get back to publishing the newsletter quarterly. In the mean time, be sure to call the stores or check the website at www.needlesandnotions.com to find out the latest news and events. Kent is trying very hard to keep the website as up to date as possible.

Don't forget to turn in your quilt blocks at computer club for the quilt block contest. I know the judges are going to have a difficult time picking a winner. There are lots of great blocks hanging at the Enid store.

Thanks!
